Description
This elegant Iris was created by fine artist Shadia Zayed. She began with a background surface in shimmering metallics. The simple underpainting of the iris was then outlined in strong gestural black lines. Finally, Shadia used hand painted found collage papers and tissues to collage the surfac of the iris and a portion of the background. The result is a simple yet dynamic painting in complementary hues of purple and yellow, with subtle texture and pattern.
